2024 Excavation: Doctor's Meadow near Southborough Common

26th August 2024

Please visit the Southborough Society Doctor's Meadow page for the history of the site

Good morning.

Our new season started yesterday with exploration and vegetation clearance at our new site in the Doctor's Meadow near Southborough common. Many thanks to Southborough Society for giving us permission to explore this meadow. We started by clearing and excavating a pit which potentially held World War II remains, but will continue to explore other features across this site. Many thanks to our team for their gardening skills, which I am sure will be used again at our new excavations. I hope you enjoy the photos and we will be back next Sunday for more digging.
